Istituto Comprensivo Statale G.A Colozza Bonfiglio in Palermo, Italy
Our school is a comprehensive public institution in the historical center of Palermo, in the region of Sicily. The school is located behind popular districts near an urban park called the Zisa. Close to the school, there are representations of crossed Arab- Norman UNESCO sights and famous theater Massimo. The official name of our school is I.C.S Colozza–Bonfiglio. It makes up of three Plessis: Plessy Bonfiglio with 11 classrooms representing a secondary school of the first degree, Plessy Colozza, comprising 15 classrooms, and Plessy Scipione with eight classrooms of primary school and nursery. 759 pupils, 96 teachers, and 14 scholastic collaborators are part of our school. In all the Plessis of the school, the classrooms have a connection to the internet. Various laboratory classes (musical, scientific, linguistic, computer) are all around the Plessis, and all are developed through the resources PON FESR. Classrooms are equipped with LIM, video projector, and computer. The institute also has two libraries, located in the Plessis Bonfiglio and Plessis Colazza. All the Plessis have ample spaces with gardens.
Our school is an element catalyst to favor the integral formation of the person. It intends to use the leisure time in the afternoon hours for carrying out optional integrative activities or sports activities and activities in experimental laboratories. In this way, it sustains and widens the schooling, socialization, personal formation of the pupils and, consequently, reaches the objective of scholastic success. The relationship between students and teachers is suitable to support the frequenting student population the school has.
